Weekly Learning Update

By the end of the week, your child should be able to:

  • Math
    • Make an increasing pattern with actions.  For example: “knees, clap, knees, clap, clap, knees, clap, clap, clap”
    • Identify how many ones and tens there are in a given number.  For example: 21 has 1 one and 2 tens!
  •  Social Studies
    • Explain what a symbol is.
    • Identify some symbols of Alberta.  For example: the shield on the Alberta flag represents the Albertan landscape.
 Sharing Our Learning
  • “My Todd Parr”
    • A project where students described what they do to help the earth in a piece of Art modeled after the illustrations of Todd Parr in “The EARTH Book”.
