By the end of the week, your child should be able to:
Math
- Identify how many hundreds, tens and ones there are in a given number, and draw the number using hundreds, tens and ones blocks. For example: 624 has 6 hundreds, 2 tens and 4 ones. Be able to expand a three-digit number from standard form into expanded form. For example: 624 = 600+20+ 4
- Add and subtract double digit math facts.
Social Studies
- Describe landforms in Canada such as mountain, valley, hill, plateau and plain.
Science
- Tell you what they already know about magnets and what they want to learn about magnets.
- Tell you which items are attracted to magnets and which items repel against magnets.
Literacy
- Identify a question versus a sentence. For example: Do you want to go to my house? versus... We are going to the park on Saturday.
